From reading a book to looking across the room, your lenses shape the way you see every day. ZEISS offers spectacle lens designs for different prescriptions, viewing distances and routines, with coating and sun-protection options to match.
The technologies below describe the wider ZEISS range. Availability, prescription suitability and combinations vary; our team will confirm which options we can provide for you.
Single vision lenses
Single vision lenses correct one main viewing distance, such as distance vision or reading. ZEISS offers several designs, including ClearView and SmartLife. The appropriate choice depends on your prescription, how you use your glasses and the frame you choose.
Also called progressive lenses, varifocals combine distance, intermediate and near vision in one lens. The prescription changes progressively between viewing zones, without a visible dividing line. ZEISS offers different progressive designs and personalisation options; accurate measurements and an appropriate frame are important parts of the fitting process.
SmartLife is a family of ZEISS lens designs, rather than one lens for everyone. It includes single vision and progressive options. ZEISS describes the range as taking account of factors such as age and connected, on-the-move lifestyles, including the frequent changes between near tasks and looking around you.
Digital SmartLife lenses are intended for people who need distance correction with additional support for near work. Office lenses focus on near and intermediate working distances, such as a desk, screen or room. They are task-specific lenses, not a universal replacement for everyday glasses and not intended for driving.
DuraVision is ZEISS’s family of lens coatings. Options can include anti-reflection, scratch resistance and surfaces designed to resist dirt and make cleaning easier. Features depend on the selected coating. Scratch-resistant does not mean scratch-proof, so careful cleaning and storage still matter.
PhotoFusion X is a light-reactive, or photochromic, lens option. The lenses darken outdoors and become clearer indoors, adapting to changing light conditions. ZEISS describes UV protection in both clear and dark states. Performance depends on conditions and the lens selected; discuss your outdoor and driving needs with our team.
ZEISS offers prescription sunglass lenses with a choice of tints and styles, including polarised options. Polarisation helps reduce reflected glare, such as glare from water or road surfaces. The best option depends on your activities, prescription and frame, and may differ from your everyday clear lenses.
At i2i, we use our ZEISS VISUFIT measurement system to map your eyes and frame in 3D. Our dispensing team considers your prescription, frame and everyday needs when explaining the lens options and taking your fitting measurements.
