Kirk & Kirk is a British eyewear brand led by Jason and Karen Kirk, rooted in a family optical business dating to 1919. The original Kirk Brothers company was established in London by Sidney and Percy Kirk. Today’s label draws on that heritage while taking a distinctly modern design direction. Karen Kirk designs the frames from Brighton, bringing a fashion-led eye to shapes created for confident self-expression.
Colour and material are central to the brand’s character. Kirk & Kirk uses K-Lite, a custom acrylic developed in Italy and shaped into frames with bold profiles and vivid, often translucent tones. Some designs explore layered or contrasting colours, allowing the material itself to become a defining feature. The collections include expressive thick-set silhouettes as well as more measured forms, giving the range breadth beyond a single statement shape.
The company highlights specialist handcrafting across its eyewear collections, with polishing and inspection forming part of production. The brand’s optical roots remain an important counterpoint to its fashion-forward approach.
