WOOW

WOOW was created in 2012 by the FACE A FACE design studio, bringing a more openly playful voice to contemporary eyewear. The original concept came from Nadine Roth and Pascal Jaulent, with the studio working under Jaulent’s direction. From the beginning, the aim was to combine wearable shapes with humour, colour and small details that could make the wearer smile.

The brand’s own communications describe a meeting between London energy, British humour and Parisian fashion.

One of WOOW’s original signatures was a short message placed in the temple tip. Early versions used a rounded metallic insert beneath resin, recalling the keys of an old typewriter. It was a detail intended primarily for the wearer, not the audience across the room. This small gesture captures the brand’s interest in making a practical daily object feel unexpectedly personal.

WOOW’s appeal is not simply brightness for its own sake: it is the combination of accessible frame ideas, inventive naming and carefully judged visual surprises that makes the collection feel distinctive and cheerful.
