Tiffany & Co.
Eyewear at i2i Optometrists, Glasgow
Tiffany & Co. began in New York in 1837, founded by Charles Lewis Tiffany. Its reputation developed through jewellery, exceptional gemstones and a distinctive approach to American luxury.
That relationship with jewellery remains central to the collection. Sculptural temple details, polished metal accents and carefully placed motifs give many designs the character of a small accessory. Tiffany Blue provides another recognisable connection, sometimes appearing inside a frame or along a temple rather than dominating the front.
The range includes acetate and metal constructions, with shapes extending from restrained everyday silhouettes to more expressive feminine designs. The TF2246 illustrates the approach particularly clearly: its square acetate front is paired with a distinctive T detail at the temples. In black, the contrast between the dark frame and metallic decoration makes that architectural reference especially easy to appreciate.
Tiffany eyewear is best understood as an extension of the jewellery house’s design language, not as jewellery itself. This remains its distinctive attraction.
