The Victoria Beckham brand launched at New York fashion week, September 2008, with a collection of ten ready to wear dresses, presented by Victoria herself via a series of intimate appointments with key international press and media. Produced in the UK, the collection initially launched through nine of the worlds leading fashion stores , Selfridges, Harrods, Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Net-a-Porter, Joyce, VillaModa, Restir and Tsum with a limited run of only 400 pieces.
Five years later the brand now comprises five categories - Ready- to-Wear, Denim, Eyewear, Accessories and Victoria, Victoria Beckham. The brand currently has over 500 stockists in 60 countries worldwide.
Each of the collections are conceived by Victoria and developed at her atelier in London with the refined aesthetic that is at the heart of Victoria's creative vision. Clothes and accessories from each of the categories have been soon on celebrities including Oprah Winfrey, Kate Winslet, Julia Roberts, Julianne Moore, Cameron Diaz, Gwyneth Paltrow, Carey Mulligan and Michelle Williams.
Victoria and the brand have ben honoured at the British Fashion Awards (Best Designer Brand 2011); WGSN Global fashion awards (Women's Designer of the Year 2012); Glamour Women of the Year Awards (Best Accessories Designer 2011, Women of the Decade 2013); Harpers Bazaar Woman of the Year (Special Contribution to British Fashion 2013); Walpole Luxury Awards (Best Emerging Luxury Brand). In 2012 Victoria Beckham became international ambassador for GREAT in recognition of her work for British creative industries.
